INTERNATIONAL POSTGRADUATE COURSE

GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES

The international postgraduate course provides intensive, advanced-level education and training in geographic information technologies as well as in research methods. The instructors offer multiple perspectives on some of the key technical issues surrounding the processing and analysis of geographic information, and selected students are integrated into on-going research projects at one of 3 European partner universities.
The main course consists of 60 contact hours (estimated 120 workload hours) during the 12-day period in residence in Castellón. Following this, students from eduGI.LA institutions will be integrated into on-going research projects during a second 2-week period in residence at either the Castellón, Lisbon or Münster sites of the European partners of the ALFA project. Total workload hours for the 4-week period, including homework and preparation, are estimated at 220.
